Day 341

We got a load of wood this afternoon. It should get us by and still have some left over for next fall. It seems a little more wet than it should be. But hopefully we won't have to use much. And by fall it should be just right.

Jonathan is doing research on what he needs to get our intercom system working. Hopefully we will be able to purchase what he needs to get started on that.

We are also waiting for the foundation guy. He was supposed to come and look at things last week. But we didn't hear from him.

  1. Dry wood is good but I guess if you much almost any wood will do. Hope that Jonathan find the parts to get the intercom going. Sound like a good project to working on. Take care.

  2. He has decided to try something different. When he gets things more thought out I will have him post something about it. The first step is getting a book so he can learn about it. It is FPGA's

  3. A field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by the customer or designer after manufacturing—hence "field-programmable".
This takes me back to design engineering which was part of what was done in my day back in Research and Development when I worked at Farah. The engineers would custom design a circuit for a specific purpose. In other words there was no device available to do the job required so they would design something just for that particular job. This should be very interesting!
