Wallpaper

While wondering around the house today, I saw something I hadn't seen before. There is a strip of wallpaper in the parlor along the side of the fireplace. Jonathan and I like making all of these hidden discoveries. It gives us some clues about how the house looked many years ago.



After finding this wallpaper, I decided to go around and take pictures of all the old wallpapers that I had seen.



This wallpaper is in the living or front room.



This is from the library.


This is the last piece of wallpaper that we have seen so far. It is in the closet in the green bedroom on 2nd floor.

If we find more wallpaper along the way I will add them to the collection here. :)

    I was hoping to look into that a little bit. We also want to get over to the library sometime and just do some research on the house. When Jonathan and Philip picked up the metal break at the lumber store, the man working their said that he knew some of the people who had lived in the house when it was apartments. I guess the people he knew were in a band. He also told them about the guy who ran around the house on the box gutters. That would be kind of scary right now. But for someone who wasn't afraid of high places, the gutters would be wide enough to walk on. I just hope that none of the kids ever decide that this is something to do. Jonathan said that he was already seeing the days when Ella was trying to sneak out of the house by walking around the gutters to a safe place to climb down. :O I really don't want to think about that.
